This village is famous for a home-made medicine (Naatu vaidhyamu; in telugu: నాటు వైద్య ము) which is used to cure dog bites (Kukka kaatu; in telugu: కుక్క కాటుకు). In this village, the medicine is prepared by a different families of the Reddy caste (mostly bodanams).
